Description
Description
Sobek, the ancient Egyptian god of crocodiles, is often portrayed as a crocodile, a mummified crocodile, or a man with a crocodile's head. As the god of the Nile River, Sobek brought fertility to the land of Egypt. Initially, Egyptians likely worshipped Sobek as a fearsome deity with some dark qualities. However, his immense strength and protective nature were highly valued when defending the Pharaoh and the Egyptian people. Mummified crocodiles and crocodile eggs were frequently placed with the deceased to secure Sobek's protection in the afterlife.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
