Description
Description
This evocative piece draws deep inspiration from the Victorian-era tradition of memento mori, a cultural movement that sought to remind observers of the inevitability of mortality through intricate artistry. By juxtaposing delicate, scrolling ornamentation reminiscent of 19th-century filigree with the stark, sobering geometry of human remains, the work captures the dual nature of an era fascinated by both scientific advancement and the gothic macabre. It sits firmly at the intersection of Steampunk aesthetics and Memento Mori philosophy, reflecting an age where the relentless march of industrial progress met a profound, scholarly obsession with the fleeting nature of existence. Through its fusion of industrial mechanisms and traditional funerary iconography, this object invites a contemplation of time as both a mechanical construct and a fundamental aspect of the human journey.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
