Description
Description
The horseshoe crab has remained virtually unchanged for over 450 million years, earning its reputation as a "living fossil" that navigated the oceans long before the reign of the dinosaurs. This remarkable specimen reimagines that ancient biological heritage through the lens of a speculative Victorian industrial age, where the primal form of the creature is synthesized with the complex mechanics of early clockwork engineering. By fusing the biological permanence of these littoral arthropods with an aesthetic of brass-age innovation, this piece invites viewers to contemplate a world where nature and technology have been inextricably linked since the dawn of the fossil record. Falling under the themes of steampunk, natural history, and industrial surrealism, this display captures the intersection of deep-time evolution and the whimsical mechanical fantasies of an imagined past.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
