Description
Description
This evocative assemblage bridges the divide between the organic remnants of the natural world and the imaginative industrialism of the nineteenth-century speculative imagination. Drawing upon the Victorian fascination with *memento mori* and the subsequent rise of early science fiction, this piece juxtaposes the intricate, Baroque-inspired flourishes of nature with the rigid, mechanical complexity of an idealized steam-powered age. It invites a dialogue between the inevitable silence of history and the relentless, rhythmic progression of progress, embodying a synthesis of the aesthetic movements known as steampunk and gothic neo-Victorianism. Within these thematic realms, the object serves as a narrative anchor, suggesting a world where the boundaries of life and machine have permanently merged, echoing the era’s obsessive pursuit of technical mastery over the limitations of mortality.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
