Description
Description
This striking centerpiece draws inspiration from the Victorian-era fascination with anatomical study and the speculative mechanical advancements of an imagined industrial past. By fusing the traditional memento mori—a symbolic reminder of the transience of life—with the complex, gear-driven aesthetics of early steam-powered engineering, this piece serves as a bridge between gothic introspection and technological fantasy. Belonging to the steampunk and gothic revival genres, it captures the era’s preoccupation with the intersection of human mortality and the relentless march of innovation, transforming a macabre motif into a sophisticated dialogue between biological form and mechanical ambition.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
