Description
Description
Evoking the spirit of the Victorian era’s industrial optimism, this imaginative construct reflects a time when the boundaries between natural history and the burgeoning mechanical sciences were increasingly blurred. Influenced by the speculative visions of authors like Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, such curiosities represent an aesthetic philosophy known as steampunk, which reimagines the world through the lens of steam-powered technology and complex clockwork machinery. By fusing the organic, steady-paced form of the tortoise with a dense network of pipes, pressure gauges, and intricate gears, this piece stands as a tribute to the fantastical engineering dreams of the nineteenth century. Belonging to the realms of retro-futurism and industrial fantasy, it serves as an evocative homage to an era of exploration and unbridled mechanical invention.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
