Description
Description
Surfer's Dream, inspired by the visionary work of contemporary British artist Josephine Wall, captures a sublime intersection of mythology and the natural world, echoing the Romantic era’s fascination with the untamed sublime. Wall is widely celebrated for her intricate, dreamlike compositions that often weave together elements of folklore, ethereal spirits, and the personification of nature, reflecting a deeply ingrained environmental reverence. This piece draws upon archetypal imagery of oceanic deities and aquatic sprites, reminiscent of the sirens and water nymphs found in classical maritime lore, while simultaneously embracing modern fantasy aesthetics. By centering on the harmonious relationship between a winged messenger and the rhythmic power of the sea, the work invites a meditation on the fluidity of existence and the mystical tethering of human imagination to the ocean’s vast, crashing tides, firmly rooting itself within the thematic realms of surrealist fantasy, marine enchantment, and visionary art.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
