Description
Description
Painted by Leonardo da Vinci between 1495 and 1498 for the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, *The Last Supper* stands as one of the most celebrated achievements of the High Renaissance. This composition captures the profound emotional intensity of the moment when Jesus announces that one of his disciples will betray him, masterfully depicting the varied human reactions of shock, grief, and agitation among the twelve apostles. Leonardo’s innovative use of linear perspective draws the viewer’s eye toward the central figure of Christ, creating a sense of balanced order amidst the dramatic turmoil of the narrative. This representation evokes themes of Christian iconography, historical devotion, and the mastery of human psychology in Western art history, serving as a poignant reminder of a pivotal event in theological tradition.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
