Description
Description
This representation of the Virgin of Guadalupe draws upon the foundational narrative of the 1531 apparitions at Tepeyac Hill, where the figure is said to have appeared to the indigenous convert Juan Diego. Clad in her traditional mantle of stars and robes of earth and sky, she stands atop a crescent moon supported by an angel, a composition steeped in the syncretic traditions of colonial Mexico that bridged indigenous cosmology and Catholic iconography. Her bowed head and prayerful hands signify divine intercession and maternal compassion, qualities that have made her an enduring symbol of identity, faith, and hope for millions. Belonging to themes of religious devotion, Latin American cultural history, and sacred art, this piece serves as a solemn tribute to a cultural icon whose influence continues to resonate across spiritual and artistic landscapes.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
