Description
Description
The Virgin of Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin of Tepeyac, remains one of the most enduring symbols of faith and cultural identity in Mexico, tracing its origins to the 1531 apparitions reported by the indigenous convert Juan Diego. This iconic depiction captures the celestial figure surrounded by a radiant sunburst and standing upon a crescent moon supported by an angel, traditional iconography that reflects the miraculous encounter at the Hill of Tepeyac. Her presence serves as a profound synthesis of Catholic devotion and indigenous heritage, symbolizing compassion, protection, and a unifying spirit that has transcended centuries to become a cornerstone of national devotion. This representation belongs to the themes of religious iconography, historical devotion, and the intersection of colonial-era spirituality, offering a meditative connection to a legacy of faith that continues to inspire millions across the globe.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
