Description
Description
This evocative representation captures a moment in the life of a Tibetan monk, whose presence is defined by the *rag dung*, or long ritual horn, resting against his shoulder. In the monastic traditions of the Himalayas, such instruments serve as profound auditory signals, used in temple rituals to summon practitioners to meditation, announce sacred ceremonies, and pierce the silence of the high-altitude landscape with their resonant, guttural tones. The figure embodies the synthesis of spiritual discipline and artistic expression central to Tibetan Buddhism, reflecting a legacy where music and sound are not merely auditory experiences but are viewed as ritual conduits to enlightenment. This piece belongs to the themes of Eastern spirituality, ritual performance, and the iconography of the Buddhist monastic tradition, inviting viewers to reflect on the meditative practices and enduring heritage of the Tibetan plateau.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
