Description
Description
Originating from the rugged landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, the West Highland White Terrier was meticulously bred in the 19th century, with Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm of Poltalloch credited for refining the distinctive, resilient white-coated breed. Originally developed to navigate treacherous terrain for pest control, these alert and spirited terriers gained immense popularity in the early 20th century, becoming an iconic symbol of Scottish heritage and domestic companionship. Captured here in a classic, inquisitive posture, this representation embodies the breed's renowned tenacity and charm, reflecting the playful yet vigilant spirit that made them favored companions throughout the Edwardian era. This piece belongs to the themes of canine history, Scottish heritage, and classic animal artistry, celebrating the enduring legacy of one of the world's most recognizable and spirited terrier breeds.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
