Description
Description
This evocative study captures the universal experience of profound melancholy, drawing upon the long-standing artistic tradition of the "fallen angel" which emerged as a poignant metaphor in Romantic-era literature and Neoclassical sculpture. The figure, curled into a posture of inward retreat, reflects the complex interplay between celestial grace and mortal suffering, evoking the isolation often associated with figures cast out from paradise. Through the depiction of expansive, weary wings shielding a fragile form, the work serves as a meditation on the heavy burden of emotional introspection and the solace found in solitude. It belongs to the thematic traditions of melancholia, classical mythology, and the human condition, offering a contemplative look at the quiet vulnerability inherent in both the divine and the earthly.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
