Description
Description
This composition depicts Zeus, the King of the Olympians, seated in regal majesty upon his throne, accompanied by his queen, Hera. As the supreme deity of the Greek pantheon, Zeus is traditionally identified by his command over the sky and thunder, symbolized here by the iconic eagle and his commanding scepter, while his physical presence embodies the patriarchal authority central to Hellenistic iconography. Kneeling beside him, Hera signifies the sacred bond of marriage and the sovereign power of the Olympian court, reflecting the mythological dynamic between the two most influential figures on Mount Olympus. This scene evokes the themes of divine authority, ancient mythology, and the complex, enduring power structures inherent in Classical Greek legend.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
