Bastet Candle Holder | Lighting | Home Decor | Handcrafted

A beautiful decor for your living spaces with its wonderful details with handwork, a mixture of bone dust and bronze by Veronese design

Apart of joy, music and dance, Bastet is also the goddess of love, sex and fertility. Like the ferocious war goddess Sekhmet, Bastet was originally a lioness deity, but from 900BC she began to be represented as a cat, perhaps because of gentle nature. She was sometimes depicted with kittens, which symbolized her role as a fertility deity. Mummified cats were often buried near her shrines.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
