Description
Description
This depiction captures a foundational moment in human survival, reflecting the ancestral practices of the San people of Southern Africa, historically referred to as Bushmen. For millennia, the San have relied on the intricate knowledge of their environment, utilizing the hand-drill method to coax fire from wood through patience and rhythmic friction. This act represents more than mere survival; it is a ritual of endurance and connection to the landscape, symbolizing the intelligence and adaptability that allowed early hunter-gatherer societies to thrive in challenging terrains. Belonging to the themes of anthropological history, human heritage, and the mastery of primitive technology, this piece serves as a tribute to the timeless ingenuity of indigenous cultures.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
