Description
Description
Justinian I, also known as Justinian the Great, was a Byzantine emperor who reigned from 527 to 565 CE. Born in 482 CE in Tauresium (modern-day North Macedonia), he was adopted by his uncle, Emperor Justin I, who ensured he received a classical education and military training. Justinian is renowned for his ambitious efforts to restore the Roman Empire's former glory, which included significant military campaigns to reclaim lost territories in North Africa, Italy, and Spain. His reign saw the construction of the magnificent Hagia Sophia and the codification of Roman law into the Corpus Juris Civilis, which remains a foundational text in modern civil law. Justinian's legacy is marked by his tireless work ethic, legal reforms, and contributions to Byzantine culture and architecture.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
