Description
Description
Mark Twain is the pen name used by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, he was an American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher and lecturer. His best known works are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the latter often referenced as The Great American Novel. His writing style was a combination of humor, narrative and strong social criticism, this caused many of his works banned for various reasons, at one time Huckleberry Finn was repeatedly restricted in American high schools due to the usage of the word “nigger”, which was in common usage during the period the book was set.
Twain was raised in Hannibal, Missouri, which he later used as the setting for Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. In order to help the family of Ulysses S. Grant, Twain published the two volume set of Grant’s personal memoirs shortly after Grant’s death, it has been highly regarded by the general public, military historians and literary critics. Twain was also fascinated with science and scientific inquiry, he developed a close and lasting friendship with Nikola Tesla, and the two spend much time together in Tesla’s laboratory.

Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
