Description
Description
Inspired by the sacred architecture of the Nile Valley, this piece evokes the transition between the mortal realm and the eternal afterlife, symbolically guarded by the winged sun disk, or Behdety, which represented divine protection and the sovereign power of the pharaohs. The pillars, inscribed with motifs reminiscent of ancient hieroglyphic funerary texts, reflect the architectural grandeur found in temple pylons that marked the thresholds of holy sanctuaries. By capturing the fleeting nature of existence within a structure mirroring the monumental gateways of ancient Thebes, the object serves as a meditation on the passage of time—a concept deeply integrated into the cosmic order, or Ma’at, that governed the ancient Egyptian worldview. This evocative creation belongs to the themes of Ancient Egyptian Antiquity, Mythological Symbolism, and Classical History.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
