Description
Description
In Norse mythology, Hel stands as the formidable sovereign of the underworld, known by the same name, where she receives those who die of sickness or old age rather than in battle. Daughter of the trickster Loki and the giantess Angrboða, she is traditionally depicted with a dual nature, her appearance often described as half-living and half-decaying, reflecting the boundary between life and the afterlife. This evocative representation captures the chilling majesty of the queen of the dead, surrounded by the predatory companions of her realm, including the wolves that roam the shadowed borders of existence. Embracing themes of Norse mythology, the cycle of mortality, and the darker aspects of ancient pantheons, this piece honors the somber authority of a goddess whose domain serves as the final, silent destination for the souls of the departed.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
