Description
Description
This bronze captures a sailfish at the top of its leap, body arched and long bill pointing to the sky. Its tall dorsal sail is picked out in deep blue with dark spots, while the body shades from green and gold to a pale belly, giving the piece the bright colours of a fish breaking the surface in the sun. Balanced on its tail above a round dark base, the sculpture stands 39 cm tall and weighs 2.3 kg.
Design & Artistic Details
The sailfish is among the fastest fish in the ocean and a legendary prize in sport fishing, famous for the acrobatic leaps it makes when hooked. The sculptor uses that moment: the curve of the body, the spread pectoral fins and the twisting tail all express speed and power. The coloured patina, applied over the bronze, follows the real markings of the species and contrasts with the darker base, so the fish seems to rise out of deep water.

Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.

Solid bronze sculptures are cast entirely in metal, traditionally with the lost-wax method. They are heavy, durable and develop a rich patina — pieces to keep for generations.
Cold cast bronze is made from real bronze powder blended with resin and hand-finished, giving an authentic bronze look with finer detail, lighter weight and a more accessible price. The material of each piece is listed on its product page.
