Description
Description
This bronze cat lies stretched out at full length, front legs reaching forward and head turned slightly, in the unmistakable pose of a cat at ease. The forms are smooth and simplified, with a warm brown patina that shades from darker to lighter tones along the back and haunches. At 53 cm long and only 17.5 cm high, it is a long, low sculpture that makes a calm, elegant statement on a console or coffee table.
Design & Artistic Details
Rather than modelling every hair, the sculptor reduces the cat to flowing volumes: a rounded skull, a long tapering foreleg and a compact, heavy rear. This stylisation follows the modernist tradition of animal sculpture, where shape and movement matter more than detail. The horizontal line of the body invites you to look along its whole length, and the polished highlights on the curves change as you walk past it.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.

Solid bronze sculptures are cast entirely in metal, traditionally with the lost-wax method. They are heavy, durable and develop a rich patina — pieces to keep for generations.
Cold cast bronze is made from real bronze powder blended with resin and hand-finished, giving an authentic bronze look with finer detail, lighter weight and a more accessible price. The material of each piece is listed on its product page.
