Description
Description
Oshun, a central deity within the Yoruba religion of West Africa, is revered as the Orisha of the sweet waters, embodying the life-giving forces of fertility, prosperity, and the transformative power of love. Often depicted as an elegant and seductive figure, she is closely associated with the beauty of nature and the complexities of human emotion, functioning as a guardian of matrimonial harmony and a patron of the arts. This representation captures her quintessential essence, showing her with a mirror—a quintessential icon of her self-reflection and vanity—and accompanied by a bird, reflecting her deep connections to the natural world. As a celebrated symbol of femininity and grace, she belongs to the thematic categories of African mythology, divine feminine energy, and sacred deities, offering an evocative tribute to a figure whose influence remains deeply rooted in the cultural traditions of the African Diaspora.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
