Description
Description
Drawing inspiration from the Apostle Paul’s stirring directive in the Epistle to the Ephesians, this depiction reimagines the spiritual discipline of the early Church through the lens of medieval chivalric iconography. During the Middle Ages, the metaphor of the "Armor of God" served as a foundational concept for the warrior-pilgrim, merging biblical exhortation with the martial realities of the crusading era, where the sword and heater shield functioned as both defensive tools and symbols of divine protection. The figure stands in a posture of solemn readiness, echoing the way historical artisans translated abstract theological virtues—such as truth, righteousness, and faith—into the tangible steel and leather vestments worn by knights of the 12th and 13th centuries. This piece belongs to the themes of Christian symbolism, devotional military history, and the perennial intersection of faith and fortitude.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
