Description
Description
The Beagle, a breed whose origins trace back to 16th-century England, was historically revered as a tireless companion for small-game hunting, particularly prized by the landed gentry for its keen sense of smell and sociable disposition. Throughout history, these hounds were immortalized in literature and art, most notably as the loyal archetype of the companion animal, eventually rising to global cultural prominence through the mid-20th century. This depiction of a young hound embodies the quintessential spirit of the breed, capturing the inquisitive gaze and characteristic tri-color coat that have made Beagles a beloved subject for naturalistic studies for generations. This portrayal aligns with themes of pastoral life, domestic companionship, and the enduring fascination with the innocent nature of youth found within classical animal portraiture.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
