Description
Description
Originating from the rugged landscapes of Scotland and northern England, the Rough Collie emerged as an indispensable partner to shepherds tasked with managing vast flocks in the challenging terrain of the Highlands. Renowned for their intelligence, grace, and protective instincts, these working dogs gained international prominence during the 19th century, particularly after catching the eye of Queen Victoria, who became a devoted enthusiast of the breed. Their transformation from humble farm workers to icons of elegance and loyalty was further cemented in popular culture through literature and film, securing their legacy as a quintessential symbol of the deep, historic bond between humanity and the canine world. This representation belongs to the thematic categories of natural history, pastoral tradition, and canine heritage.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
