Description
Description
The Charging Bull, often referred to as the Wall Street Bull, is a bronze sculpture located in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City. The statue was created by the Italian-American artist Arturo Di Modica. It was conceived as a symbol of the strength and resilience of the American people and the financial markets.
The sculpture depicts a bull in a charging position with its head lowered and horns pointed forward. The muscular and powerful stance of the bull is intended to convey a sense of optimism and confidence in the financial future. Di Modica created the statue in the aftermath of the 1987 stock market crash as a gesture of faith in the strength of the U.S. economy.
Despite being initially installed without official permission, the Charging Bull quickly gained popularity and became a recognizable symbol of Wall Street and the financial industry. Over time, it has come to represent not only the financial markets but also the broader concepts of economic prosperity, strength, and optimism.
The bull is often visited by tourists and has become a popular photo spot. It stands in Bowling Green, a small public park in the Financial District, near Wall Street. The symbolism of the Charging Bull continues to be the subject of interpretation and discussion, and the statue remains a significant landmark in the heart of New York's financial center.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
