Description
Description
Reaping By The Ways Of Microaggression serves as a contemporary allegorical commentary on the insidious nature of systemic attrition. Drawing upon the medieval iconography of the Grim Reaper, a figure popularized during the Black Death as the relentless arbiter of mortality, this work reimagines the harvester not as an agent of sudden demise, but as one who sustains itself through the compounding accumulation of small, persistent slights. The central figure, shrouded in shadow and anchored to a base of tangled roots and remnants, illustrates the sociological concept where persistent, subtle exclusionary behaviors—microaggressions—act as a cumulative drain on the vitality of individuals and communities. By situating the reaper amidst the detritus of these chronic indignities, the piece invites a reflection on how incremental psychological erosion functions with the same inevitability as historical plague, ultimately stripping away dignity through a thousand invisible cuts. This work belongs to the thematic categories of social critique, gothic surrealism, and memento mori.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
